Four equipment groups

Which cardio machine suits your training?

Choose by movement, goals and available space.

01

Air bikes and BikeErg

Full-body intervals or cycling-focused training?

Rogue Echo Bike V3 and Assault Airbike Classic combine pedalling with moving handles. Air resistance increases with output, working both arms and legs. They suit intervals and Metcon sessions.

Concept2 BikeErg focuses on cycling, with fixed handlebars, an adjustable riding position and PM5 monitor. Choose BikeErg to focus on pedalling and track power and cadence.

Key differences: Echo Bike V3 is belt-driven and Assault Airbike Classic is chain-driven. Echo Bike V3’s standard console supports Bluetooth and ANT+; Classic’s standard console has no Bluetooth. BikeErg’s freewheel lets the flywheel keep spinning when you stop pedalling. Its damper changes the pedalling feel.

02

Rowing machines

Seated full-body endurance

Rowing combines leg drive, core control and an arm pull. Concept2 DPM5 (Model D, now called RowErg) provides air resistance and a PM5 monitor. It suits steady sessions and intervals in circuit training.

Allow for the machine’s length and clearance around it. Consider storage: Concept2 separates into two sections, while Rogue Echo Rower folds.

Rogue Echo Rower has quick-release foot straps and a 4.7-inch backlit display with Bluetooth and ANT+. Concept2’s PM5 and Rogue’s console are different systems. Concept2 recommends a clear area of about 274 × 122 cm for use, although the RowErg footprint is 244 × 61 cm.

03

Ski machines

Double-poling and upper-body endurance

Concept2 SkiErg 2 PM5 brings the skiing movement indoors. It suits double-poling practice and ski intervals in functional training. Air resistance responds to the force of each pull.

Concept2 SkiErg can be wall-mounted or used with a separately sold SkiErg2 floor stand. The stand is an accessory, not a ski machine. League’s upcoming Rogue Echo Ski includes a stand.

Concept2 SkiErg supports double-poling and alternating arm movements. Rogue offers Echo Ski with a floor stand or rack mounting; League’s upcoming model includes the stand. Rogue’s 4.7-inch console supports Bluetooth and ANT+. Both machines have a damper to change the feel of the pull.

04

Non-motorised treadmills

Your stride sets the speed

Assault AirRunner Pro and Rogue | Woodway Curve LTG are curved, non-motorised treadmills. Your steps move the belt, so you change speed by running rather than pressing motor controls.

Choose a treadmill for running sessions, pace changes and running intervals in mixed workouts. Check dimensions, the delivery route to the installation area and the product’s delivery time.

Compare the intended environment: Rogue describes Curve LTG as an option for home gyms and smaller commercial settings. Woodway’s slat belt distinguishes its construction. Assault AirRunner Pro is also self-powered and has transport wheels. Check console and connectivity details for the specific version being supplied.

Cardio equipment guide

How to choose cardio equipment

Start with your training style. Air bikes work arms and legs together; BikeErg focuses on cycling, rowers on rowing, ski machines on double-poling and treadmills on running.

Measure the installation area and leave room for safe use. Account for ski machine height, rower length and treadmill size and weight. In shared gyms, easy adjustments and user changes matter too.

Prices and ordering options appear on product pages. Confirm delivery times, installation and included accessories separately. Our business sales team can help plan your gym equipment.

  • Training – cycling, rowing, skiing or running
  • Users – personal use or a shared gym

Frequently asked questions

Choosing and buying cardio equipment

How does an air bike differ from BikeErg?

An air bike’s pedals and moving handles combine leg and arm work. Concept2 BikeErg has fixed handlebars and focuses on pedalling. Both use air resistance, but the training style differs.

Which cardio machine suits Metcon?

Choose the machine for the movement in your workout. Air bikes, rowers, ski machines and non-motorised treadmills provide different options for intervals and circuits.

Is a floor stand included with Concept2 SkiErg?

The stand is sold separately. SkiErg 2 PM5 can be wall-mounted or used with a separately purchased SkiErg2 floor stand. League’s upcoming Rogue Echo Ski includes a stand.

How does a non-motorised treadmill work?

Your steps move the belt. On a curved treadmill, pace changes with your stride and position on the belt. Read the model’s instructions before training.

Can I already order the new Rogue machines?

Echo Rower, Echo Ski and Woodway Curve LTG are shown as upcoming models. Product pages and ordering become available when sales open. Launch dates and delivery times will be confirmed later.

Where can I check delivery times?

Check the current product page or ask League before ordering. The range includes special-order items, so being listed does not mean an item is immediately in stock.

How do Echo Bike and Assault Classic differ?

Molemmissa on ilmavastus ja liikkuvat kahvat. Echo Bike V3 on hihnavetoinen ja Assault Airbike Classic ketjuvetoinen. Echo Bike V3:n vakiokonsolissa on Bluetooth ja ANT+; Assault Classicin vakiokonsolissa ei ole Bluetoothia.

Is Concept2 DPM5 the same as RowErg?

Model D was renamed RowErg. League’s DPM5 name refers to the Model D rower with a PM5 monitor. Use the specific product page to confirm dimensions and accessories.
